A Pearl of Wisdom from ʿĀʾishah

ʿĀʾishah (Allāh be pleased with her) said:

إن العبد إذا عمل بمعصية الله عاد حامده من الناس ذاما

“When the worshiper does something to disobey Allāh, the people who praised him will become those who criticize him.”

(al-Mukhtār, 82)
