A Pearl of Wisdom from Ibn Ḥajar al-ʿAsqalānī

Ibn Ḥajar said:

الذي يداوم على تلاوة القرآن يذل له لسانه ويسهل عليه قراءته فإذا هجره ثقلت عليه القراءة وشقت عليه

“One who is regular in reciting the Qurʾān, his tongue submits, and its recitation is easy for him. But when he gives it up, recitation becomes hard and difficult for him.”
