A Pearl of Wisdom from Ibn al-Qayyim

Ibn al-Qayyim said:

ذنوب الخلوات سبب للانتكاسات وعبادة الخلوات سبب للثبات كلما طيب العبد خلوته بينه وبين الله عز وجل طيب الله خلوته في القبر

“Sins committed in seclusion are a means to degeneration. And worship in seclusion is a means to becoming firmly established and observant. When one enters seclusion in a way that is wholesome, between him and Allāh, Allāh will make his seclusion in the grave blissful.”
