A Pearl of Wisdom from the Sultan Muḥammad II

Sultan Muḥammad al-Fātiḥ advised his son:

كن عادلا صالحا رحيما وابسط على الرعية حمايتك بدون تمييز

“Be just, pious, and merciful. Extend aid to those under you. Your support should come without differentiating between them.”

(Samīr al-Muʾminīn, 21)
