A Pearl of Wisdom from Māwardī

العلم عوض من كل لذة ومغن عن كل شهوة فمن تفرد بالعلم لم توحشه خلوة ومن تسلى بالكتب لم تفته سلوة

“Knowledge compensates for every pleasure and it frees one from every desire. Whoever is alone with knowledge, isolation does not make him lonely. And one who takes pleasure in books, contentment remains with him.”
