A Pearl of Wisdom from the Prophet Muḥammad (upon him be peace)

The Prophet Muḥammad (upon him be peace) said:

«الطَّاعُونُ شَهَادَةٌ لِكُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ»

“Plague is martyrdom for every Muslim.”

Ḥāfiẓ Munāwī commentated and said: “Meaning, one who dies from it shall receive a martyr’s reward in the Hereafter…The plague for previous communities was a misfortune, but for Muslims it was made a mercy as one may achieve the great reward of martyrdom through it…”
