A Pearl of Wisdom from Fuḍayl b. ʿIyāḍ

Fuḍayl b. ʿIyāḍ said:

مَنْ رَأَى مِنْ أَخٍ لَهُ مُنْكَرًا فَضَحِكَ فِي وَجْهِهِ فَقَدْ خَانَهُ

“Whoever sees his brother doing a reprehensible action and smiles in his face, he has cheated him.”
