A Pearl of Wisdom from Abū Ḥātim al-Bustī

Abū Ḥātim said:

التجسس من شعب النفاق كما أن حسن الظن من شعب الإيمان

“Spying on people is from the branches of hypocrisy just like having a good opinion of people is from the branches of faith.”
