A Pearl of Wisdom from Ḥasan al-Baṣrī

Ḥasan al-Baṣrī said:

كل عزّ لم يؤكد بعلم فإلى ذل يؤول

“Every glory that is not substantiated with sound knowledge will eventually end up in disgrace.”
