A Pearl of Wisdom from Abū Bakr al-Shiblī

Abū Bakr al-Shiblī was once asked regarding the strangest thing he was aware of, to which he replied:

قلب عرف ربه ثم عصاه

“A heart that knows its Lord and then disobeys Him.”
