Ibn Rajab al-Ḥanbalī’s Grave
Ibn Nāṣir al-Dīn al-Dimashqī related that the gravedigger who dug Ibn Rajab al-Ḥanbalī’s grave said:
“A few days before his passing, Ibn Rajab came and said, ‘Dig a grave for me here,’ and he pointed towards a piece of ground. I dug the grave. When I finished, Ibn Rajab got inside it and laid down. I stood there amazed, and he said, ‘This is good,’ and then climbed out. A few days he passed on and I placed him right in that very same grave.”
