A Pearl of Wisdom from Saʿīd b. Jubayr

Saʿīd b. Jubayr was asked regarding who is the most worshipful person, to which he replied:

رَجُلٌ اجْتَرَحَ مِنَ الذُّنُوبِ فَكُلَّمَا ذَكَرَ ذُنُوبَهُ احْتَقَرَ عَمَلَهُ

“A man who committed sins, and whenever he remembers them, he loathes what he did.”
