BENEFIT DINNER
FORTRESS OF FAITH
Building an Intellectual-Spiritual Sanctuary
National Seminary Campus Benefit Dinner with Dr. Shadee Elmasry
In earlier communities, believers who found themselves in environments unconducive to preserving faith would often opt for seclusion: taking shelter in a cave, adopting a nomadic life, etc. However, with the near ubiquitous global shift from devoutness toward godlessness and from spirituality toward materialism, physical isolation ceases to remain a viable option.
We may no longer shy away from the challenges of the day. Rather, we must confront these challenges, equipping ourselves with the academic tools to defend our minds from shubuhat (doubts) and the spiritual foundation to protect our souls from shahawat (desires).
This is the mission of DarusSalam Seminary: to provide the community with an intellectual-spiritual enclave that fosters maintaining a reasonable and confident faith in the midst of today's trials and tribulations.
To this end, DarusSalam Seminary has been working towards educating men and women who will become the future 'ulama and leaders of the community. We offer a variety of different educational programs, including:
-The Tamhīd Summer Arabic and Islāmic Studies Intensive.
-The Tanwīr One-Year Arabic and Islāmic Studies Immersion Course.
-The Takmīl Institute Seven-Year Program for Higher Islāmic Studies.
DarusSalam Seminary has a truly national reach, with students from all over the country enrolling in our programs and returning to their communities to become imams, youth directors, and board members.
By the grace of Allah and also the generous support of the community, construction for the DarusSalam Seminary National Campus is on schedule and inshaAllah by April 2020 the entire building will be complete.
We need your continuous support and participation in order to ensure this project reaches completion. Please join us at DarusSalam's Benefit Dinner to learn how you can invest in the future 'ulama and leaders of America and build what will inshaAllah be among America's premier centers of Islamic learning, securing the foundations of our future.

Why build a Seminary Campus?
In 2008, DarusSalam Foundation was established with just a handful of Hifz al-Qur’an and Arabic students and with the Masjid property still being developed. Today, by the grace of Allahﷻ, DarusSalam is home to hundreds of students from across the country. On a weekly basis, the Seminary offers seven programs of study consisting of 24 class groups, 36 part-time and full-time instructors, and over 450 instructional periods. In addition to these classes, DarusSalam holds monthly seminars, annual retreats and conferences, workshops, sisters’ programs, youth events, and interfaith community events.
Since our opening a few years ago, our enrollment has reached a point that we are now unable to accommodate all of our 300+ daily students. With only three dedicated classrooms, classes are held in the lobbies, prayer halls, storage rooms, library, and the funeral preparation room.
Alhamdulillah, we started construction in May 2018 and inshaAllah will complete the project in 2020. This project will include the addition of 20+ classrooms, a sisters’ prayer hall, a community gymnasium, banquet hall, and much more.
We invite you to join us for our second Benefit Dinner and earn your share of reward for generations of Muslim Americans who will benefit from the DarusSalam Seminary, inshaAllah.
