ABOUT THE PROGRAM
This program is designed for young female students who would like to join the Tadris Integrated High School program with the intention of eventually enrolling in the Takmil Program for Higher Learning. Students will be taught by our highly qualified teachers and take the required 8th grade courses with the American School of Correspondence as well as introductory courses in Arabic and Islamic Studies. Tadris Prep is designed to nurture a love for 'ilm in young minds while also helping students acquire the necessary organizational skills and emotional and spiritual maturity to meet the demands of the Tadris program.
Prerequisite: Prospective students must meet one of the following prerequisites:
- Has completed seventh grade.
- Has completed hifz-ul-Qur'an and is 12 years of age.

SPORTS & RECREATION
DarusSalam offers indoor recreation with an NCAA size basketball court and indoor running track. The Seminary is also equipped with a fitness room with cardio and strength equipment.
FIELD TRIPS, CAMPING, AND YOUTH PROGRAMS
Throughout the year, DarusSalam holds field trips and special programs for students. The Chicagoland area is home to a variety of attractions: landmarks, libraries, museums, and much more. Throughout the year, students take a break from their studies and partake in class outings. Past outings have included visits to the Shedd Aquarium, the Museum of Science and Industry, Lincoln Park Zoo, trampoline parks, and nature preserves.
STUDENT RESOURCE LIBRARY
Our students are encouraged to continue their pursuit of knowledge both inside and outside of the classroom. DarusSalam features a resource library which is home to thousands of books in Arabic, Urdu, and English. Our collection includes but is not limited to voluminous books of Qur'ānic exegesis, Prophetic tradition, jurisprudence, purification, history, and more.

ADMISSION
DarusSalam Seminary offers rolling admissions, so prospective students may apply throughout the year. Because seats are limited, those who apply earlier in the cycle are more likely to be admitted. Out-of-state applicants who will require living arrangements should apply as early as possible to ensure arrangements can be made.
The online application process is completed via RenWeb. This simplifies submission and provides applicants the ability to track the status of their application. After submitting the application, you will be able to track your admissions status at the school by logging in to your account. In addition, you will be able to print the completed application and monitor when the school receives any applicable supplemental forms. A non-refundable fee of $100 must be submitted with each application.

- Fill out the applicant's information and select the program to which you are applying.
- You may save your progress and continue at a later time.
- Complete the entire application.
- Use the navigation panel on the left to go through the application.
- Submit letters of recommendation.
- Provide the name and email address of your referrals.
- They will receive an email with a link to submit their recommendation.
- Two letters of recommendations are required.
- Letters may be from imams, professors, employers, or youth coordinators.
- Letters from family members are NOT accepted.
- Submit your 6th and 7th grade report cards.
- Please submit transcripts from the highest level of education attended.
- All transcripts must be in PDF format.
- Transcripts are not required for applicants who have not yet attended high school.
- Submit your standardized test scores.
- Standardized tests include PSAT, ACT ASPIRE, IOWA, MAP, etc.
- All scores must be in PDF format.
- Schedule your on-campus interview.
- Qualifying students will be invited for an interview at DarusSalam Seminary.
- The interview provides a chance for the applicant to visit our campus and facilities, meet enrolled students, and speak with members of our faculty and staff.
- Out-of-state applicants will be invited for a phone interview if unable to interview on-campus.

Is the Tadris Prep accredited?
Tadris Prep is not accredited.
Is any secular education provided?
Yes. Students of the Tadris Prep are offered secular education via American School of Correspondence, an internationally accredited high school program. These courses take place in the Seminary and are taught by certified and experienced educators. The students’ progress is monitored by the administration.
Will hafizas have time to revise their Qur'an?
Hafizas will have an opportunity to revise on a daily basis and will be tested periodically to ensure they retain their Qur’an.
Is Tadris Prep only for hafizas?
Tadris Prep is for any student who is interested in proceeding to Tadris Integrated High School with our Alimiyyah Program. Students who have memorized sections of the Qur’an will continue to review and memorize.
What kind of student is DarusSalam looking for?
Haafizath who would like to build their base for the Alimiyyah program. Non-haafizah who would like to memorize Quran and build a strong Islamic foundation
What should I study before applying?
7th grade from any school or completed hifz
Can I study part-time?
No. A student for Tadris Prep is required to be full time.
Do students have holiday breaks?
Yes. Students will have Fall, Winter, Spring, and Eid breaks, as well as various national holidays. We try to align our breaks with public schools for the convenience of the students' families.
Are meals provided?
Yes, DarusSalam offers optional meal plans from our partnering halal restaurants for our students. This meal plan includes lunch and dinner 7 days a week.
Can a student be terminated from the program? In what cases?
Yes. This program is designed for students who are serious about learning their deen, and it requires time and dedication. Students who display a lack of interest and effort in their work can be terminated from the program.
