What is the Tamhid Summer Program?
The Tamhīd Program is a seven-week immersion that guides students through a transformative journey to understand and appreciate the core principles of Islam. The program consists of two components; the Deen Intensive and the Arabic Intensive.

About the Program
The Arabic Intensive program is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in the basics of Arabic language. Through a comprehensive curriculum that focuses on grammar, vocabulary, and conversation, students will gain a solid understanding of the language's fundamentals. The program includes interactive classroom sessions, engaging exercises, and individual assignments that cater to the needs of each student. By the end of the course, students will not only have a solid grasp of the language but will also have developed an intrinsic appreciation for it that will encourage them to continue learning and exploring its complexities.

The Deen Intensive is a four-week long summer program which seeks to guide the young minds of the contemporary age through a transformative journey which is intellectually stimulating while also spiritually invigorating. To this aim, the comprehensive programs focuses in rooting oneself in Islamic paradigm through a balanced, versatile selection of courses that will leave the student fostering a strong Islamic identity. At its core, this program is an immersive glimpse into the Islamic intellectual, historical, and spiritual tradition. Additionally, to further cultivate a transformative experience, the program offers experiences beyond the classroom to nurture Prophetic characteristics, develop camaraderie, and effectuate spiritual progression.

Course Description
Other religions are cultural preferences, but not Islam. Islam is objectively true and you can prove it. This textbook provides students with detailed, evidence-based knowledge of all the core tenets of Muslim belief. It tackles the central questions facing young Muslims, including how we know that God exists, how to respond to the arguments of modern atheism, and the meaning of suffering in the world. By working through this textbook, students are empowered to use revelation, logical reasoning, and science to nurture sincere faith that is supported by proof.

The Hadith Practicum (H..101) course is designed to provide students with a deep understanding and appreciation of the practical teachings of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, focusing on incorporating these lessons into our daily lives. In this course, we will delve into the habits, characteristics, and actions of the Prophet ﷺ that can be applied in our lives immediately, transforming the way we live and enriching our understanding of what Allah ta'ala expects from us. Through careful study and reflection, students will gain insight into how the Quran and hadith serve as a manual for living a successful and fulfilling life, leading to jannah. By learning the ways of the Prophet ﷺ, we strive to deepen our love and admiration for him and foster a more profound commitment to the Deen.

This course, Fundamentals of Fiqh: Purification & Prayer (LAW 101), aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the rules and principles of purification and prayer in Islam according to the Hanafi school of thought. Students will study the concept of purity, the different types of purification, and the conditions for prayer. They will also learn about the prerequisites, integrals, and recommended actions of prayer, as well as the common errors and invalidators of prayer. Course Description
"Indeed, Allāh alone possesses knowledge of the Hour." (31:34) "The people will ask you about the Hour. Say: 'The knowledge of it is with Allāh alone.'" (33:63) In our faith, life after death and resurrection are immutable realities. Though certain, the precise timing of these events remains unknown to us. We don't know when we'll breathe our last or when the Hour will come; such knowledge is the exclusive domain of Allāh ﷻ.
In His boundless mercy, Allāh ﷻ revealed various signs to the Prophet ﷺ, who in turn conveyed these to us so we might remain alert and prepare for the advent of the Hour. In this course, we will study both the major and minor signs of the Hour, Insha'Allah.

Marriage holds a sacred place in Islam, described by the Prophet ﷺ as "Half of one's religion." In the context of our faith, the significance of this institution cannot be overstated. However, a profound understanding of the Islamic laws and wisdom surrounding marriage and divorce often eludes many. Ignorance of these principles has led to increasing societal discord, contributing to the fragmentation of families and escalating divorce rates.
To address this pressing issue, this course endeavors to illuminate the teachings of the Prophet (s) concerning marital life. Students will be introduced to a range of topics from the fundamentals of an Islamic marriage to navigating conflicts and understanding the intricacies of divorce, providing a holistic perspective of Islamic marital jurisprudence. Out-of-State Students
The Tamhīd Program welcomes both local and out-of-state brothers and sisters, providing a rich and diverse learning environment. While we offer living accommodation for brothers only, sisters are encouraged to attend the program alongside their family to benefit from the experience.
Living Arrangements
On-campus housing is available for brothers on a first-come, first-served basis. The cost for housing during each component of the Tamhid program (Deen Intensive & Arabic Intensive) is $400, offering a comfortable and convenient living arrangement.
Meals
For your convenience, the Tamhīd Program offers a meal plan service for those interested in opting for freshly cooked lunch and dinner during their stay. Each day, students who have chosen this service will need to fill out a form before 9:00 AM to select their lunch, dinner, or both, according to their preference. This allows you to enjoy delicious and nutritious meals while focusing on your academic and spiritual development throughout the program. The meal plan costs $6/meal. Meal plans can be purchased on site.
