What is the Fortunate 1400?

The historic Bayʻat ar-Riḍwān (pledge that was sworn to the prophet Muhammad ﷺ by his Sahaba to defend Islam at all costs that secured the Riḍwān or pleasure of Allah) under the tree of Hudaybiyah was a major turning point for the nascent Muslim community. Prior to this, their numbers were modest, and their influence was limited to Madinah Munawwarah. The pledge was successful in demonstrating to the Quraysh the determination of the Muslims and they agreed to cease all hostilities and sign a treaty that later became known as the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah. This treaty opened the door for greater access to other parts of the Arabian Peninsula, most prominently Makkah, which allowed for increased da’wa efforts and a rapidly growing ummah, ultimately culminating in the conquest of Makkah and the triumph of Islam.

By the grace of Allah ﷻ, the dedication of our volunteers and staff, and the generosity of our beloved patrons, the construction of the DarusSalam Seminary National Campus has been completed. Alhamdulillah, now that we have the infrastructure in place, it is our duty to maintain this divine favor by taking care of the increased maintenance costs that come with it. Just as the 1400 illustrious Sahabah who pledged to defend Islam at Hudaybiyah were immortalized in history, and more importantly, earned the favor of Allah ﷻ, we need to stand up now to preserve this institute that will inshallah continue to produce the inheritors of the prophets. Those who stand up and respond to this call can inshallah hope to be raised with the 1400 Sahaba who secured the pleasure of Allah ﷻ.

We are calling upon 1400 individuals to commit $100.00 per month to maintain Masjid DarusSalam and DarusSalam Seminary.
